Canada, Yukon, Fish lake near Whitehorse. It’s the end of winter in the forest. During the day temperatures rise to a few positive degrees and the ice melts. During the very short night, temperatures drop below 0 and the water freezes again. Plants are caught in layers of ice and frozen. It’s a debacle. The ephemeral beauty of nature then appears before my eyes only to disappear a few minutes after my image is captured. I am moved by so much beauty.
